Oddin is hiring a remote candidate for Kotlin Developer. This is a contract position. Work location: Europe.
The role typically involves technologies such as GraphQL, Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka, Kotlin, AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services in Kotlin for our product platform
- Design and implement interfaces between internal components and public clients (REST/gRPC/Kafka)
- Implement new features end-to-end together with the team (design discussion → implementation → rollout)
- Develop backend for our landing page, with interactive gamification features
- Work with machines in our data center, as well as cloud platform on AWS
- Help improve reliability and performance (monitoring, caching, availability) with guidance from the team
- Be part of a collaborative, cross-domain product team, closely cooperating with other Kotlin developers, as well as AI specialists.
- Learn and grow through pairing, code reviews, and mentoring

What You Will Be Doing
Skills you need
- 1+ years of experience with Kotlin
- Good understanding of backend fundamentals and interest in learning cloud & distributed systems
- Good understanding of backend fundamentals and willingness to learn modern tools for content-based applications
- Familiarity with API design (REST/GraphQL/gRPC)
- Some experience deploying code to cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) or strong interest in learning
- Knowledge of Docker and basic infrastructure (a plus)
- Terraform or Kubernetes experience (a plus)
- Familiarity with Agile development practices
- Interest in esports (a plus!)
