ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage AI software team building tools for designing and simulating physical systems. You will help accelerate product development, starting with frontend work and growing into backend-focused full stack engineering.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work with the frontend engineer to improve the product interface and speed up production releases.
- Build features, infrastructure, and systems, with an increasing focus on backend engineering.
- Own work end to end, including architecture, deployment, and reliability.
- Establish practices for effective AI coding agent use across the team.
- Collaborate with engineers and AI researchers to prototype and refine product ideas for industrial users.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Approximately 3 to 10 years of experience as a software or full stack engineer, including experience in startups or early-stage teams.
- Experience taking products or significant features from concept through production, with ownership and adaptability as priorities shift.
- Strong backend skills, solid mid-level frontend capabilities, and experience with .NET, React, and TypeScript.
- Comfort using AI coding agents extensively, with the ability to review, debug, and improve their output.
- Experience owning system architecture, deployment, and reliability.
- Interest in physical systems, engineering design, CAD, or simulation.
- Based in the United States or Canada and able to work without visa sponsorship.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation is $200,000 to $275,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
Remote in the United States or Canada, with one week of onsite work every six weeks in San Mateo, California.
